My little square friends

Every now and then, it actually strikes me as odd how my much life has become one defined primarily by multitudes of overlapping rectangles containing an nearly infinite but ephemeral stream of tiny meandering thoughts sent seemingly from a universe away by my little square friends often to no one in particular and apropos of nothing.

And then I get back work...

Just me, my furry office mate and my tiny little square friends. What an ultramodern, fantastical and lonely little world we've made for ourselves.

The Real Tuesday Weld Brings Off-Kilter Cabaret to MBE

The Real Tuesday Weld calls their style “antique beat” – melding jazz, pop, film score sounds, and electronica into a sonic mix.

Personally, I love how it sounds old and new all at the same time. I’m the biggest indie rock fan around, don’t get me wrong, but I LOVE when a band like this comes through the studio. Dressed up in snazzy suits and with a clarinet that reminded me of a Woody Allen movie, they had it going on. Mastermind and singer Stephen Coates tells Nic their album “London Book of the Dead” was inspired by the birth of his child and death of his father. It's interesting stuff.

i love zachary quinto. i love sylar on heroes. bad guy that cuts your head open and takes your powers from your brains and what not? i love braaaains. yeah, he's hot. i never was a big star trek fan. i watched the next generation and some deep space nine when i was little. i think my dad watched the movies when they came on tv, and i'd get suckered into it. the main reason i watched was because i was up late, all my favorite shows came on in the day (except fraggle rock), and we had limited channels.

but you know who i love, besides zachary quinto? i love j.j. abrams. lovelovelove. less than three, even. and the idea of him making star trek all awesome and shit? i'm down, home slice. especially when you make zachary quinto into spock!
