Ah, Carmageddon. I learned how to hide folders convincingly on Mac OS9 *just* so that my parents wouldn't delete it.
Hey...most of those aren't arcade games...
That aside, *thumbs up* to monkey island and FFVII and Katamari Damacy. Have you played We Love Katamari?
@Nick: Carmageddon was the shit. Multiplayer, single-player, whatever. I wish someone would have the [guts|cajones|spine] to take something like Burnout to its logical conclusion.
There was an even older game called Quarantine that had a similar game mechanic--a mashup of Carmageddon and Crazy Taxi set in a post-apocolyptic city. That should be on this list too...
@Tiff: I finally got We Love Katamari at home. My girlfriend's played more than I have. Maybe this weekend's the date. :)
Don't let Patrick see that you don't have Quake 4 on that list. 8(
Now I have to tell finn about this whole list. :)
Shit, I forgot Maelstrom. I remember when Andrew was handing out development copies that crashed. Every. Single. Time.
Not even remotely approaching playable, just a tech demo.
Troubled Souls <--- Nice plug.
I need to play Deus Ex again. Some of the brain cells I burned the first three times I played it appear to have grown back.
