Congrats! I know how important it is to get your username as your domain name. I still remember watching mine (geekgrrl.com) for close to a year, emailing the owner multiple times (they weren't using it!), and finally seeing it become available at like 4 a.m. one morning. I fairly jumped with glee. hehe.
Make sure to set up auto-renew, just in case. :)

Have you considered a family blog at gidder.com? It's currently a Scandinavian site of some business type with a bunch of mispelled Latin on the page. Shrug.
